Algorithms
Pathfinding
Dijkstra and A* on a grid, alone or side by side.
Sorting
Visualizing various sorting algorithms.
Conway's Game of Life
The Game of Life is a cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970.
Maze Generation
Maze generation with Prim and Kruskal, then pathfinding inside it.
Fractals
Visualisation of complex geometric patterns that resemble each other on increasingly smaller scales (self-similarity).
Ant colony (travelling salesman)
Ants find a short round trip through cities with pheromone trails. Click the canvas to add a city.
Voronoi and Delaunay
Drop points and watch the Delaunay triangulation and its Voronoi cells follow. Click to add, drag to move. Step mode shows each insertion.
Fractals 3D
3D Visualisation of complex geometric patterns that resemble each other on increasingly smaller scales (self-similarity).
Double pendulum
Chaotic double pendulum, physics in a WebGPU compute shader (fallback WebGL + CPU).
Cloth simulation
Cloth simulation with XPBD on the GPU (WebGPU, fallback WebGL + CPU).
Cloth self-collision (ICM)
Cloth that cuts through itself is untangled by shrinking the intersection contour (Volino and Magnenat-Thalmann 2006). CPU, BVH with normal-cone culling, XPBD.
Boids & Particle Life
Flocking and emergent behavior from local rules, computed on the GPU (WebGPU, fallback WebGL + CPU).
Physarum (slime mold)
Slime mold transport networks from simple agents and a trail map, computed on the GPU (WebGPU, fallback WebGL + CPU).
Reaction-diffusion (Gray-Scott)
Spots, worms and coral from two reacting chemicals, computed on the GPU with float textures (WebGPU and WebGL).
Lenia (continuous Game of Life)
Smooth creatures that glide and pulse, from a ring kernel and a growth curve, computed on the GPU with float textures (WebGPU and WebGL).
Fluid (Stable Fluids)
Drag through a colored fluid and watch swirls form, from the Stable Fluids method, computed on the GPU with float textures (WebGPU and WebGL).
Four Color Theorem
The four color theorem states that any map in a plane can be colored using at most four colors in such a way that regions sharing a common boundary (other than a single point) do not share the same color.
Fourier Epicycles
Any closed shape is drawn by a chain of rotating circles. Draw your own shape and watch the circles rebuild it with a discrete Fourier transform.
